Frequently Asked Questions — Daytona Beach Events This Weekend
What events are happening in Daytona Beach, DeLand, Ormond Beach, Port Orange, and New Smyrna Beach this weekend, October 16-18, 2026?
Volusia County has ten verified events this weekend, October 16-18, 2026, led by the 34th annual Biketoberfest. Daytona Beach has the main rally on Main Street, the Bikes N Bass show at Daytona International Speedway on Friday, and a motorcycle parts swap meet with stunt shows on Tomoka Farms Road. Ormond Beach offers Biketoberfest at Destination Daytona and Taste of Ormond at Rockefeller Gardens on Sunday afternoon. Port Orange hosts a riverwalk pasta party and a trunk-or-treat on Saturday evening. DeLand features The Ultimate Garth Brooks Tribute at the Athens Theatre on Saturday night. New Smyrna Beach adds Flagler Avenue’s Fall Music Festival and a Saturday Chili Challenge.
What’s free to do in Volusia County this weekend?
Plenty of this weekend’s activity costs little or nothing. Flagler Avenue’s Fall Music Festival in New Smyrna Beach is listed as free and runs through Sunday, October 18. Walking Main Street during Biketoberfest in Daytona Beach is also free, though individual bars, shows and attractions set their own prices. Several other events, including the Biketoberfest swap meet and stunt shows, Bikes N Bass, Taste of Ormond, the Port Orange pasta party and trunk-or-treat, and the New Smyrna Beach Chili Challenge, didn’t list admission prices on the pages I could reach, so confirm cost with each organizer before you go. The Garth Brooks tribute at the Athens Theatre in DeLand is ticketed, with reserved seats at $35 and $40 plus fees.
What is the best family-friendly event in Volusia County this weekend, October 16-18?
Families have good options this weekend. Tim’s Corner Restaurant’s Annual Trunk or Treat in Port Orange runs Saturday from 5 to 8 PM and is built for kids in costume. The Biketoberfest stunt shows on Tomoka Farms Road in Daytona Beach run at 10 AM, 12 PM, 2 PM and 4 PM each day and tend to be a hit with older children. Flagler Avenue’s Fall Music Festival in New Smyrna Beach is a relaxed daytime outing with shops and restaurants close by, and the Saturday Chili Challenge adds a tasting stroll. Admission isn’t listed for most of these, so confirm costs and age rules with the organizers, especially for any venue that serves alcohol.
How bad is traffic during Biketoberfest in Daytona Beach?
Biketoberfest, running October 15-18, 2026, brings tens of thousands of riders to Daytona Beach, and traffic is heaviest around Main Street, Beach Street, International Speedway Boulevard and A1A. Expect slow-moving bike traffic, partial street closures near Main Street, and full parking lots by midday, especially Friday and Saturday. Restaurants and bars fill up early, so reservations or an early arrival help. The Ormond Beach, Port Orange and New Smyrna Beach events this weekend are easier to reach, and Flagler Avenue in New Smyrna Beach makes a calmer base. If you’re driving to the DeLand Athens Theatre show on Saturday night, leaving extra time for I-4 and US-92 traffic is smart.
